About the American Hotel and Lodging Educational Institute (EI)
Established in 1953, The American Hotel and Lodging Educational
Institute, (EI) is one of the finest nonprofit member benefits of the
American Hotel & Lodging Association.
For over 50 years, EI has been the premier source for
delivering quality hospitality education, training and professional
certification that serves the needs of hospitality schools and
industries worldwide whereby it continues to meet and exceed its
education and training mission by providing materials for all levels of
hospitality personnel. EI extends its reputation around the globe to
serve the needs of learning institutions and hotel organizations
through more than 110 licensed EI affiliates in 60 countries. EI also
has an official office located in India, and holds exclusive license
agreements in 17 countries connecting EI's research and expertise to
hospitality operations throughout Europe, Asia, the Middle East,
Africa, and Latin America.
Stamford College was the first hotel school in Asia to
offer the AHLA programme 23 years ago and has been teaching this
programme since 1985. Was rated the Number 1 School in the Asia Pacific
for 2005 & 2006 by the AHLA in terms of student numbers and
performance being one of the largest providers thousands of former
students employed in Malaysia and worldwide. Stamford College holds the
exclusive right within Malaysia to offer EI's individual course
certificates, areas of specialization, certification by designations
and diploma in a classroom or distance learning environment.
