OBJECTIVES
The objectives of the course are to enable students to: Introduce students to the basic components of multimedia and understand its functions clearly in order to develop multimedia interactively.

LEARNING OUTCOME
At the end of the course, student will be able to : Understand the basic components of multimedia and the underlying theories and approaches to multimedia design.

SYNOPSIS

The course is designed to introduce the basic components of multimedia and the underlying theories and approaches to multimedia design. These designs can be for a number of applications such as information kiosks, games, information and entertainment application. These applications can be run on stand-alone desktops, local network and internet. At the end of the course, the student should be able to identify and explain the essential components of multimedia systems, explain and apply multimedia systems development principles to the design of a multimedia system; evaluate a multimedia software; to apply multimedia application development principles to the development of a multimedia application.
