OBJECTIVES
The objectives of the course are to enable students to 1. Familiarise with the elements of dramatic writing 2. Learn how to tell a good story 3. Develop a sense of storytelling through cinematic techniques 4. Introduce short films and related topics 5. Provide the opportunity to write several short dramas (some may be used for production classes)

LEARNING OUTCOME
At the end of the course, students will be able to : 1. Write scripts for the various mediums following the proper formats in use. 2. Develop skills to initiate scripts for organizationメs corporate video, drama, advertising and radio. 3. Prepare a range of scriptwriting assignments for various events and functions with quality proposals and relevant technical details. 4. Familiarize with theories and practice of writing copy for radio and teleplays and dramatic scripts; documentaries; as well as the practices of script outlining and development.

SYNOPSIS

Script writing is designed to introduce students to the conventions and professional standards of modern script writing. It is also aimed to develop the student's appreciation of the goals and practices of writing for radio and television, including a primer on script marketing.
