OBJECTIVES
The objectives of the course are to enable students to: 1. Provide an understanding of the types of communication tools used in the business environment. 2. Equip students with skills in writing letters, memos, resume, reports for various purposesm events and occasions. 3. Provide an understanding in interpreting tones, non-verbal signals and body language used in the business and organisational context.

LEARNING OUTCOME
At the end of the course, students should be able to: 1. Identify the different forms of written communications used in an organization and understand their purpose and use. 2. Compose basic letters and memos. 3. Demonstrate understanding of the principles and practices used in writing minutes and reports.

SYNOPSIS

This course teaches students about the different types of written communication they will encounter in an organization as well as their format, purpose and use. Student will be required to prepare different types of documents and critique the work of other students.
