OBJECTIVES

Objectives are to:

  • Contribute to the planning, organising and monitoring of work.
  • Explain methods of contributing to the maintenance of a healthy, safe and secure working environment.
  • Maintain, develop and implement administrative procedures.
  • Undertake research and select information.
  • Organise and record meetings.
  • Arrange travel and accommodation.

LEARNING OUTCOME

Upon completion of this unit, students will be able to:

SYNOPSIS

Unit 1

  • Identify and apply methods to ensure an efficient workflow.
  • Identify and describe legal requirements relating to the workplace.

Unit 2

  • Describe methods of encouraging the maintenance of a healthy and safe workplace.
  • Identify and explain methods used to maintain a secure workplace.

Unit 3

  • Effectively maintain and evaluate straightforward administrative systems and procedures.
  • Review and develop straightforward administrative procedures.
  • Describe ways of implementing revised or new administrative procedures.

Unit 4

  • Describe source for research.
  • Selective and effectively display researched information.

Unit 5

  • Explain the procedures required for organising meetings.
  • Describe the administrative support required for meetings.

Unit 6

  • Plan travel and accommodation.
