OBJECTIVES
Malaysian Studies subject is designed to mould loyal citizens of the nation, citizens who are proud to be Malaysians, ready to face the challenges of nationhood and possess the abilities to be an independent nation in the global arena.

LEARNING OUTCOME
On completion of this subject, the learners should be able to:

  • understand the history of the nation and the development of the society from the political, social, cultural and economic aspects
  • increase awareness, specialisation and motivation to involve oneself in the efforts to defend independence, development and progress of the nation
  • value the efforts and contributions of leaders who contributed to the establishment of an independent and sovereign nation.

SYNOPSIS

Learners will learn about the political history, systems and the administrative structure of Malaysia. Apart from that, they will also recognise the components of society and unity in a multi-racial society; plans and vision of national development; current issues such as issues in the development of humanity and society, and environmental issues in development.
