- Organise personal and business information such as emails, appointments, contacts, tasks and documents
- Keep a journal of activities

Upon completion of this unit, students will be able to:

SYNOPSIS
Unit 1 - OUTLOOK EXPRESS Starting outlook
- Starting and viewing the Outlook Window. (Title bar, Folder Banner, Standard Toolbar, Menu Bar, Group Buttons, Outlook Bar, Information Viewer and Column Buttons)
Unit 2 - Email
- Creating and sending a mail message. Managing E-mail messages by storing mail messages in other folders and deleting unwanted mail messages to make it easier to see new mail messages.
Unit 3 - Customising E-mail
- Using stationery for a dramatic appearance and creating a signature.
Unit 4 - Using contacts
- Creating a contact where a person or company can have several mailing addresses, various phone and fax numbers, e-mail addresses, and Web sites. Edit the contact information from the contacts folder. Sending the same e-mail message to more than one person.
Unit 5 - Using calendar
- Schedule time for completing specific tasks, meetings, vacations, holidays, or for any other activity with the calendar.
Unit 6 - Using tasks and notes
- Use TaskPad in the Calendar window to organise the many duties and projects for each day. Creation of a task list of items that need to be tracked through completion.
Unit 7 - POWERPOINT Starting PowerPoint
- Starting a presentation as a New Office Document. Introduction to the PowerPoint Window (menu bar, title bar, slide number, view buttons, formatting toolbar, status bar slide pane and others)
Unit 8 - Slide template
- Select a design template, create a title slide, describe and use text attributes, add a new slide, create a multi-level bulleted list slide, view slide in normal view, save a presentation and quit PowerPoint.
- Create a presentation from an outline view.
Unit 9 - Edit a presentation
- Open a presentation, check the spelling and consistency of a presentation, change line spacing on the slide master, display and print presentation in black and white.
Unit 10 - Insert clip art
- Insert clip art from Microsoft Clip Gallery 5.0, move clip art, change clip art size, animate clip art objects.
Unit 11 - Slide show
- Run an animated slide show and include the slide transition effects.
Unit 12 - Creating a Presentation on the Web Using PowerPoint
- Using AutoContent Wizard and Save as Web Page
