OBJECTIVES

The objectives of this unit is to learn and practise:

  • Develop skills in using various dictionaries and other business reference materials to solve language problems
  • Apply basic rules of grammar, spelling, capitalisation, number usage and punctuation

LEARNING OUTCOME

Upon completion of this unit, students will be able to:

  • Demonstrate improvement in editing, spelling, use of business vocabulary, and organisational skills in business writing styles.
  • Utilise terminology applicable to business writing
  • Write effective sentences and paragraphs for business applications.
  • Communicate effectively in written and spoken forms.
  • Demonstrate effective speaking skills.
